There is, however, an authentic side to minimalism—when it is a monument to simplicity, purity and order—the expression of the most idealistic, sensitive and introverted temperaments among us. To those for whom these qualities are innate values—nay virtues—rather than disguises, the minimalist aesthetic is a natural extension—a source of fulfilment, comfort and catharsis.
